Template Layout Area

Template Area of 750 m2

To comply with the stringent quality standards set by the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) for Indian Railways projects, MIPL operates a dedicated RDSO Template Layout Area spanning 750 SQM (15 m × 50 m).

Dimensional Accuracy: Eliminates field-level alignment issues through pre-fabrication lofting and template cross-verification.

RDSO Compliant: Meets mandatory RDSO infrastructure guidelines for vendor approval and structural bridge girder manufacturing.

High Throughput: Supports MIPL’s production capacity, allowing simultaneous template marking and trial fitting for high-volume orders.

Space can be Expanded lengthwise to more than double if needed as entire floor is levelled and concreted and can be adapted to Templating usage if needed.

Highlights

Full-Scale 1:1 Camber & Nominal Floor Lofting :
The clear 50-meter length accommodates 1:1 scale marking for standard RDSO open-web and composite plate spans up to 48m in a single layout setup. This satisfies the length and flatness criteria required for precise floor lofting

Complex Span Handling: The 50-meter clear length easily accommodates long-span components, including RDSO-approved Open Web Girders, Road Over Bridges (ROBs), Foot Over Bridges (FOBs), and Bowstring Girders.

Quality Assurance & Jig Verification: This facility serves as a primary control station for preparing master templates, verifying hole pitch alignment, checking node geometry, and setting up assembly jigs under strict Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) compliance.

Seamless Process Integration: Located within our state-of-the-art facility in Hathkhoj, Bhilai, the template area links directly into our automated fabrication, CNC cutting, blasting, and trial assembly bays, ensuring streamlined workflow and zero-error tolerances.
Template Area is under EOT Crane capacity of 50/20 MT.

Compliance

All production drilling is executed using rigid jigs derived from calibrated master templates.

Working jigs are controlled to RDSO-mandated tolerances Dedicated space needed to fabricate and verify Master Jigs against nominal drawings. (+0.0 mm to -0.13 mm for plate alignment and -0.0 mm to +0.1 mm for bush bore tolerances), preventing oversizing during mass production.

Stage-wise inspection clearances by approved agencies (RITES / Zonal Railway FIU) before cutting or drilling begins.

Inspecting engineers can visually inspect 1:1 scribed lines, gusset geometries, and hole pitch centers before releasing materials to CNC cutting and tack-assembly bays.

Laying out members on the level floor ensures that edge distances, cutting allowances (3 mm for plates, 6 mm for plates) and diagonal squareness meet exact design values.

The template area provides pre-checked component dimensions that ensure distortion-free fit-ups under approved WPSS specifications.
